PRISON ISLAND
Prison Island, named after a prison built in 1893, was never used as a prison but served as a quarantine hospital. After a scenic 30-minute boat ride from Stone Town, visitors will discover the island’s current residents: giant tortoises that are over 200 years old. These magnificent creatures were once banned from Stone Town and now call the island home. A visit to Prison Island offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty, and wildlife.

1000 HANDS OF ZANZIBAR:
On this half-day tour of Zanzibar, guests will experience the authentic village life of the island, including a visit to the turtle sanctuary in Nungwi. SAFARI BLUE (the Original):
Starting from Fumba in Zanzibar’s untouched southeast, guests set off on a traditional wooden dhow to explore the island’s marine wonders. First, they may encounter dolphins playing in Menai Bay Marine Park. Then, depending on the tide, they can visit a unique mangrove island before heading to Kwale Island, an uninhabited paradise. Finally, guests can enjoy a delicious lunch on the serene island, making for an unforgettable, scenic adventure.

SEAWEED FARM:
Visit the Seaweed Center in Paje to learn about Zanzibar’s second-largest industry: seaweed farming. This social enterprise empowers local women by providing economic opportunities and improving living standards. Depending on the tide, guests can witness women harvesting seaweed. Afterward, they’ll visit the processing center to see how seaweed is transformed into organic beauty products like soaps and oils. We offer this experience as either a half-day tour or a full-day tour, which combines a visit to Jozani Forest and the Butterfly Center, showcasing Zanzibar’s rich nature and local communities.

TUMBATU ISLAND:
Tumbatu Island is one of Zanzibar’s best-kept secrets, with access restricted to those granted permission by the local elders. This island, where the Shiraz built the first stone structure in the Zanzibar Archipelago in the 11th century, offers a unique glimpse into ancient history. Unlike other islands, there are no cars or scooters—only a single walking road that stretches across the entire island.
On this full-day tour, departing from Mkokotoni by boat, guests will visit Jongowe School and a local fisherman’s home. Along the way, they’ll learn about daily life on Tumbatu, as well as the island’s intriguing connection to witchcraft and mysticism. It’s an unforgettable journey into the heart of Zanzibar’s hidden heritage.
THE ROCK RESTAURANT:
This restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its stunning location. At high tide, guests can reach it by boat or even swim, while at low tide, it’s easily accessible by walking.

SUNSET CRUISE:
This 2-hour boat trip departs from Stone Town, offering stunning views of the capital. Snacks and drinks are provided aboard the traditional dhow. If the wind permits, the crew will sail in the traditional fishing boat style, accompanied by authentic Zanzibar music.
