Our Glamping Safari Itinerary is tailored around the spectacular Serengeti Migration, ensuring you stay in the heart of the action. Depending on the time of year and the movement of the herds, you’ll stay in exclusive, mobile camps positioned in the prime locations for the best wildlife encounters.
Tarangire National Park
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport in the morning, where your driver-guide will meet you. You’ll then transfer to your lodge, located within the protected area of Tarangire National Park. After check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge, followed by some leisure time to relax after your international flight. Dinner will be served at the lodge, allowing you to unwind in the tranquil surroundings of the park.
Day 2: Full Day or Half-Day Safari in Tarangire
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for your safari. You can choose between two half-day game drives or a full-day safari, depending on your preference. Your driver-guide will ensure you have an immersive experience, exploring Tarangire’s diverse wildlife and landscapes. After an exciting morning or afternoon of game viewing, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the evening, dinner will be served at the lodge, where you can reflect on your unforgettable day in the wild.
Ngorongoro Crater
Day 3: Journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After a relaxing breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your drive will take you to a lodge situated just near the crater rim, offering stunning views of this geological marvel. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch at the hotel before heading out for an afternoon guided walk with a ranger. This walk will allow you to explore the area’s unique landscapes and gain insights into the local flora and fauna. In the evening, return to the lodge for a peaceful dinner, reflecting on the day’s experiences in this extraordinary environment.
Season: October to January
Serengeti – Central / East
During this period, the Great Migration shifts to the Central and Eastern Serengeti, as the herds follow the rains in search of fresh grazing. This is a prime time for game viewing, as vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles fill the plains. Predators like lions and cheetahs are also abundant, taking advantage of the large herds for hunting opportunities.

Enjoy a picnic lunch by the crater lake, renowned for its vibrant wildlife, including flamingos and lions. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, with a game drive en route to your camp. Dinner at the lodge to end your day in the heart of Africa’s iconic plains.
Days 5-7: Serengeti Safari Adventures
Spend the next three days immersed in the wonders of Serengeti National Park, renowned for its abundant wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Serengeti – West
From April to June, the Great Migration begins its long journey north, passing through the western Serengeti, notably the Grumeti River region. During this season, the herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles make their way across the river, often navigating the dramatic crossing points, where predators like crocodiles, lions, and hyenas lie in wait. The action at the Grumeti River offers some of the most iconic wildlife moments of the migration.
